Protect Your Personal Data (Using WinRAR)

Many people purchases expensive software like folder lock to protect their  personal data .I’m going to tell you how you can protect your personal data using WinRAR .You can add a password to a folder using WinRAR and its really safe,for that you have to add your folder to WinRAR .

For this you have to install WinRAR software in your computer.

Steps for adding password to a folder.

Select and click right button and select “ Add to archive… ”

 

Then click on “ Advanced ” tab .

Then select “set password…” 

Then enter the password  and reenter the password, and do not forget  the password because you can not access your folder without the password.

Your folder is safe now .

When you will open the WinRAR file , it will ask you the password.

If you will enter the right password then you can access the files.Of Corse it Is a very old method and a general one & in computing everything is just uncertain these password can be break by some software using some algorithms like Brute Force, Dictionary Attack etc. but this task Is also not a easy one so be sure to make your password even more stronger by using special characters & increasing its length etc..

How To: Disable Or Remove Facebook Timeline Beta Profile

Now if you have enabled the new Facebook time line beta FROM HERE,then may be sometime you or almost many people think it as a bore enhancement as none of your friend can’t see your updated version of the profile. But no need to be panic if you have applied the enhancement using DEVELOPER method you can easily revert back to your original profile ,just by following these simple steps .

But before this I just want to confirm if you has used the developer account & created an application ,also used the “Open Graph” to enable this feature .If you have done these then it is very easy to get your old profile back just do the following things.

Go to Developers Application Page from Here

Click the Application you have created on which you have used the “open graph”

Click the “Edit Open graph” button

 

 

Delete all three Open Graph settings by clicking on the buttons mentioned below.

 

Just go back to your Facebook page after a wait of 2-3 minutes & you will get your old profile back.

How to Enable Facebook timeline beta…

So peoples here is the new Facebook timeline version but it is in beta Version  (in testing version now) & only available to Facebook developers.The developers need to do something to get the new version ,I will show that process here for you.

Also note that the new feature can only be seen by other developers having timeline beta enabled in their profiles & for all others your profile look same as it is before .I am not going to make you bore taking about this more ,here is a simple tutorial to enable timeline beta in your profile ,As it is a bit tedious & timeous work but worth a trying one.

 

 

Steps to enable Facebook Timeline profile right now

In order to get started you must have an developer account,To get that click here .It will redirect you to Facebook application page,Now there you have to create a simple application.

It will ask you to access some of the information related to your profile , ALLOW that one.

 

Once you have redirected to new page , you have to create a new application ,Click on create new application .

Now write the display name of that application in the App Display Name text box & also provide a unique name for that application in the App Namespace text box.App namespace usually look like this “word_word_word” or you can choose any type of name without using the capital letters or number & spaces ,use any name as you like but it must be unique.

 

Enter the CAPTCHA word for the verification.

 

Before  it create your application it may ask for the account verification it can be done by your : “Mobile Number” or through your “Credit Card”.Use the way you like here I am verifying it by my mobile number.

NOTE :- If you have already setup your mobile number then it will not ask you for the confirmation , for the rest here is the process of confirmation through mobile number.

Enter your mobile number & click confirm . After a while a message with code will be received on your phone .Enter that in the new window you get & Verify your account.

 

Now back to our application creation “Submit” the application you have named & you will get a window like this.

 

Click on Open Graph.

 

Enter simple info like “read” a “book” as shown in the below figure and click on Get Started.

 

Do not change anything in the next page, just click on Save and Continue.

 

 

Same goes for next page, do not change anything just click on Save and Continue. Next page also do not change anything click on Save and Finish.

 

Everything Finished wait for 1-2 minutes & go to your Facebook account it will automatically ask you to join BETA Channel of New Timeline

Use check boxes for selecting files and folder

Steps For enable check box for selection :

Go to My  Computer .
Select Tools from menu bar .
then select Folder Option.
scroll down and check the box "Use check boxes for select items" .

press " OK "

Now you can use check box to select the items like Folders and Files.

OPTISMISE YOUR HARD DISK'S PEFORMANCE

1. Defragment your drive

Defragmentation put together in contiguous locations various chunks of individual files scattered across your disk , so the disk can be accessed faster and with less mechanical strain to the hard disk drive.

1. Go to My Computer
2. Click right click on a drive which you want to defragment.
3. Then select "Properties" .
4. A pop up window will be opened.
select "tools" tab.

 

5.Then select "Defragment now..."

6. select the drive and click on analysis.
It will start analysis of your disk drive.
7. After the completion of analysis click on Defragment Disk.
then it will start doing defragmentation.

2. USE POWER SAVING OPTIONS

The lesser you make you hard drive work, the longer it lasts.If you are used to leave your computer turned on while doing any other work or go out for long time like 1-2 hours,Then either hibernate your computer or use "power options" for your hard disk drive..
Steps for using power options :
Go to Control pannel
then select " Power options "

 

Then a dialog box will be opened. Click on "Change plan settings" .
After that one another window will be opened.
Click on " Change advanced power settings "

 

then a dialog box will be opened.
now expand "Hard Disk "
then expand Turn off hard disk after.
Now you can modify the time for turn off the hard disk according your usage .
kindly note that do not use this tip if you are going to use your computer after few minutes e.g.. after 4-5 minutes , because if you will turn "On" and turn " off " your hard disk after few minutes then the frequent starts-stops will reduce your hard disk drive's life .
Better you turn Off computer while going for such a long time.

3. Avoid tilting :
Moving your computer while its "On".
The hard disk will not take it kindly to being moved here and there while it is working.
If you hear screeching noise from your PC that noise is from the hard disk ,
it may be lead to crash or damage so its the  time for backup of your hard disk .
